For over 70 years the name ION has become the generic name for chocolate in Greece due to the company’s adhesion to quality, innovation and the special taste of its products.
A group of shareholders back in 1930 start a factory for the production of chocolate at Piraeus street, New Faliro. Their ambition was to become ‘chocolate makers’. The first company statute of ION S.A.
Terra Creta, was founded in early 2001, by Cretan visionaries with extensive knowledge and experience in olive oil production and sales.
Our first facility was located in the Souda region of Chania, Crete. From the company’s inception, Terra Creta’s founders focused on increasing exports and, at the same time, sustained a philosophy of corporate stability, consistency and quality, with a deep commitment to the product’s organic and other quality characteristics.
In 1933 the great grandfather Tsanos started a tradition that holds up to today, TSANOS baking. The art, secrets and recipes were passed on from one generation to another, where in 1988 young Vangelis, decided to found his own cookie factory, TSANOS factory. The ambitious cookie maker picked up the family tradition by observing his father Vassilis at their bakery in Giannena.

Ήταν το αποτέλεσμα εκτεταμένης έρευνας και επίπονων προσπαθειών που άλλαξε για πάντα τα δεδομένα στην κατηγορία του ελληνικού καφέ.
Ο “έτοιμος καφές Λουμίδης” (και από το 1926 ΛΟΥΜΙΔΗΣ ΠΑΠΑΓΑΛΟΣ) έγινε γρήγορα διάσημος για πολλούς λόγους:
